Medical Services
The Healthy Lumpkin Community Partnership does not provide medical services directly. Rather, the partnership includes various medical organizations that serve people from all over North Georgia. These organizations provide medical services to consumers in the North Georgia area. For example, the Medical Clinic serves people in and around Lumpkin County. Located on the campus of North Georgia College & State University, the clinic is staffed by personel from the university. The clinic provides basic health care for the uninsured and low income in the surrounding seven counties. The staff treats general health ailments and helps patients manage their chronic diseases. They also perform routine exams in preventive care. The clinic provides additional clinical experience for physical therapy and nursing students.
